Google Voice Search

Here's a cool tip:
You can do searches from your computer without typing. :-)
In this post I'll show you how to turn on the "Search by voice" in Chrome.

1. Open your Chrome browser and go to http://www.google.com.
2. In the search box, locate the microphone icon and click on the icon to enable "OK Google".

4. Confirm your choice by clicking the blue "Enable OK Google" button.
(5.) You might need to confirm your selection at the top of the screen by clicking the "Allow" button.

6. Finally, I suggest quitting the browser and re-opening.

Now you are ready for voice search. :-)
1. Open Chrome and go to a search page. (http://www.google.com).

2. Notice the microphone icon looks different now and there is a prompt to say, "OK Google".

3. Say, "OK Google" to activate a search.
4. Speak your search query.

5. In many results, Google will "speak" a basic answer to your question.
6. Enjoy the results. :-)

* Try a few of these:
"Roll a die"
"Flip a coin"

Here's a link to an infographic with an excellent list of things you can try searching - be sure to check out the "Easter Eggs" included.
